Saionji Kinnaga (西園寺公永)

Kinnaga SAIONJI (1353-September 2, 1390) was Kugyo top court official) during the period of the Northern and Southern Courts. He served three generations of Emperor Gomurakami (the 97th), Emperor Chokei (the 98th) and Emperor Gokameyama (the 99th), and was promoted to Shonii (Senior 2nd Rank) Dainagon (a chief councilor of state). His father was Udaijin (minister of the right) Sanetoshi SAIONJI. His child was Udaijin Sanenaga SAIONJI.

He became Jusanmi (Junior 3rd Rank) and was raised to Kugyo in 1363. After experiencing Chunagon (a vice-councilor of state), he became Dainagon (a chief councilor of state) in 1375.
